272 House
The Alfred García Gotós and BR29 Architects studios are designing a single-family home in Lleida. This is an area where sunny days abound, and spending time outdoors is almost an imperative.

So, using enveloping spaces, simple and functional lines based on simple geometric shapes and natural materials, the aim is to optimise the well-being of its residents. To achieve this, the studios chose the Noon Series in Grey, a collection of stone-effect tiles featuring carefully designed effects on the surface. Paired simply with natural oak wood and smoked glass, this material strikes the perfect balance between warmth and timelessness.

The spectacular day area, which includes a kitchen and living room connected from the interior space (hall, staircase, kitchen and living room) without a vertical structure and communicated to the outside (terrace, pool and garden), achieves a sense of total continuity thanks to the materiality and variety of formats and thicknesses in the Noon collection. To complete the sizeable continuous space that makes up the living/dining/kitchen area, a large island cladded with the large-format Noon Grey floor tile presides over the space.

As for the night area, the three children’s rooms share a bathroom decorated with the Noon Grey range. The en-suite bathroom of the main bedroom is also furbished with the same material. All the rooms face the south and the house has a brise-soleil façade that protects it domotically from harsh sunlight while allowing maximum sunshine to enter during winter.

Also outstanding in the night area is an open Mediterranean-style courtyard, which spatially connects the garden with the top of the staircase on the upper level, granting the upper floor a vast sense of space.
